Alex Stone's Summer--both novellas--are excellent reading. But be aware that this is reading for a knowledgeable reader, not for someone who is looking for quick action without much depth. Stone requires that his readers possess knowledge of the human heart and experience in living. And the rewards are subtle but deep.
